TASK TRACKER INSTRUCTIONS

  • This exercise is for 5 consecutive days of work.

  • EVERYTHING that happens during your working hours should be reflected here - whether that's work from home, from the cafe or your camper van!

  • Write in BLOCK letters only - please do no use cursive or linked writing

  • You DO NOT need to enter a finish time for each task - the start time for the next task is the finish time for the current task.

  • Be as specific but as succinct as possible when entering the task itself - think "short and sweet".  

  • You don't need to enter the details of the same task over again, simply write "Task 1 - report on lego colours".  Then each time you come back to that task during that same day simply enter "Task 1".

  • If an interruption, email, break or distraction occurs during a task, this must be recorded - even if it relates to the task itself (i.e. you ask someone a question or email someone about the task)

  • If the entry is a Distraction (D), Email (E), Interruption (I) or Meeting (M) circle the appropriate letter in the second column then enter the details.

  • Start a new Task Tracker each day, scanning and emailing the completed one the following morning.

  • The returned document must be emailed as a PDF not an image.

  • If the entry is a Break (B) there is no need to enter further details.
